A directory that publishes whatever it is sent is an advertisement with a search box on it. This application is longer than a contact form because the entry it produces is worth something to the person reading it.
Every entry states its own tier, in those words, on the entry itself. No fee moves a company from one tier to another. Enhanced listings, if they ever exist, will buy placement and presentation — never verification status. The moment a tier can be bought, the registry stops being a registry.

The best-known Canadian contractor network excludes companies that deliver through subcontractors rather than direct employees. We do not. That rule would exclude a large share of the Ontario market, and it tells a building owner less, not more.
Instead, every company entry discloses its delivery model — direct employees, contracted trades, or both. Anyone who cares can filter on it. Nobody is excluded for answering honestly.

Ask and it is changed. Ask and it is removed, at any time, without giving a reason. If you believe an entry about another company is wrong, tell us and we will re-verify it — and if you have a complaint about a listed company, it is heard by someone with no commercial relationship to them, under a published procedure, with the outcome recorded. A directory without a complaints route is an advertisement with a search box.
A listing records that a named organization issued a named credential to a named person, and that we checked it on a given date — plus, at Verified and Qualified, that licensing, insurance and coverage evidence was produced. It is not an endorsement, not a recommendation, and not a warranty of anyone's work.

Not published unless you ask: direct contact details beyond a public enquiry route. We do not sell the registry as a mailing list and we do not pass it to anyone else.
No. A basic listing is free now and will remain free, and verification is free as well. We will not charge to move a company up a tier, ever, because a tier that can be bought means nothing.
Yes, at any tier. Your entry states that work is delivered by contracted trades. That is disclosure, not disqualification, and it tells a building owner more than hiding it would.
You cannot be — CABCEP issues no certification. The registry lists what other bodies have issued to your people, and the licensing and coverage your company actually holds.
Because the single most common thing that goes wrong for a building owner is discovering after an incident that coverage had lapsed. Verified means somebody checked the expiry date.
Usually a few days. Some issuing bodies have public verification tools and take minutes; others answer by email on their own schedule. Reference checks at the Qualified tier add about a week.
Yes. Service areas are separate from head office, so a search returns companies that will actually travel to the person searching.
